I have started this blog to keep a record over the next year of my paintings and associated thoughts and ideas. I followed the traditional route through art school many years ago and have subsequently spent a long time teaching art and design. Recently I decided I wanted to return to the observational paintings of my earlier years. The area where I live is abundant with natural beauty, rugged coastline, moorland and beautiful villages and provides stunning subject matter for many of the artists who live here. An opportunity too good to miss.
I shall post new pictures as they are produced and say where – if anywhere- they are exhibited.
The painting below is of Boggle Hole a small inlet just down from Robin Hood’s bay on the North Yorkshire coast. it was a very windy and bright morning.
